Sam (Garrett Hedlund), the son of famous video-game developer Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), has been haunted for a long time by his father's mysterious disappearance. A strange signal draws Sam to Flynn's Arcade, and he is pulled into the same cyberworld in which his father, its creator, has been trapped for 20 years. With fearless warrior Quorra (Olivia Wilde), Kevin and Sam seek to escape from a universe that, while magnificent, is far more advanced and dangerous than Kevin had ever imagined.

Tron: Legacy is a fun popcorn flick if you had the opportunity to catch it on the big screen, but with the digital effects downsized on a DVD format what's good about the movie doesn't emit as much of an effect.

Rating: 6.7/10 ⭐️ As an open-world RPG fan, I expected a standard sequel, but this neon digital universe totally blew me away. What Worked: As a filmmaker, I respect Kosinski building physical sets and real illuminated suits over CGI sludge. It gives the world crazy tangible weight. Daft Punk’s score is legendary. Through my faith & flag lens, I loved the themes of a father's protective love and fighting a totalitarian system forcing “perfection.” The Cuts: The rubbery digital de-aging on Clu made the villain feel like a goofy NPC. Because there's so much heavy exposition explaining the Grid's history, the middle part really dragged for me. Michael Sheen's flamboyant character totally broke the gritty atmosphere. Verdict: Visually stunning but narratively clunky. Watch for insane world-building and music, skip if you need perfect pacing. Favorite Line: “A digital frontier that will reshape the human condition.”

Even daft punk could not save this movie. I was bored and not impressed with how they made this. To this day i forget what even happens. They needed to spend more time finding the right director, actors and specialists along with a better script. Funny how such a great original story and IP ends up rolling sideways down a hill. I still prefer this over ares which was total trash. And even then i have no interest in watching this again. So much potential lost on a bad production.

This movie is a more than worthy sequel to the 1982 Tron Classic. The VFX for The Grid look incredible, and Daft Punk’s score is one of the greatest film scores of all time!! The movie also does a great job of introducing great new characters like Sam and Quorra, while also having great characters like Flynn and Alan from the first movie. The worst part about this movie is the dated de-aging technology used on Jeff Bridges. Other than that this movie is peak!!!
