This is a show that feels familiar but remains fresh. It's scary like Stephen King at his best; it's creepy like a ghost story at a campout. Through it all, it's a surprisingly fun ride.

A horror that gives you everything you’re looking for and some excellent dark humour that keeps you coming back. An island of intrigue you don’t want to visit but you will and you’ll love it.

It's eerily atmospheric, dead-pan funny, and well acted. The pacing is a tad slow, but this is such a fun watch if you're interested in folklore, urban legends, and spooky coastal New England vibes. Absolutely worth the watch.

Overall, this show is a snooze. Matthew Rhys is extraordinary but not even his A+ acting can save the sluggish pacing of this story. It's like we get it, this town is into some strange, we don't need to wait forever to start getting to the scary mystery side of things. Less chatting about the town being evil and more showing us. Respect to the craftspeople who made this show look incredible though!
