andrea C @Charst 12h Entrando nel dettaglio della sceneggiatura, sicuramente si vedono tutti i limiti di questa pellicola che ha l'unico obiettivo di mostrare una nuova location, per quanto ricostruita artificialmente, come lo spazio. Tutto il resto è una copia dei precedenti film, villain senza grande carisma seppure con un'idea interessante; anche la bond girl non è certo la migliore della saga. Alcune sequenze sono comunque interessanti e seguono il filone per spettacolarità. Finalmente ci si porta dietro anche un villain da un precedente capitolo, seppure con una svolta finale che lo rende interessante. Drax wants to reintroduce hand picked couples to reproduce and replace earths population . Also, featured in film, assassin Jaws returns. Jaws pursuit of James Bond feels like watching the Coyote failing to catch the roadrunner. Ending comes off like a cheesy parody of Star Wars. The "Bond girl is a trap" routine returns, Drax is so obviously the villain that there is no fun in the reveal, and the plot runs on convenience more than logic. The opening parachute scene briefly promises excitement, then quickly exposes the film’s technical limits, a pattern repeated with fights that rely on sped up footage to fake impact. The space laser sequence is especially weak, even if the idea of a villain lair in orbit is fine on paper. Jaws still feels like a prop, only gaining personality in the Dolly moments. Incredibly ridiculous (even by this series' standards the gondola hovercraft and the space battle are really nuts) but I also kind of love it. Beautiful sets, Jaws is the movie's Wile E. Coyote until he switches sides, and this is the one time that you get a sense of why the main villain has so many henchmen (it's a cult!)
