Meri S. @mschroeder Mar 5 Just finished reading the book then watched this classic movie. The film does a great job of staying true to the novel, with a few tweaks to condense some of the scenes. As with most films of the time, melodramatic. When reading the book, I assumed under Hitchcock’s direction, the movie might come across as a little more creepy, esp Danver’s character. But wasn’t too bad imo. Maybe to appeal to audiences of the time.
