Eight months after the death of his wife, Frank Goode looks forward to a reunion with his four adult children. When all of them cancel their visits at the last minute, Frank, against the advice of his doctor, sets out on a road trip to reconnect with his offspring. As he visits each one in turn, Frank finds that his children's lives are not quite as picture-perfect as they've made them out to be.

This movie really makes you reflect on your expectations in life. The acting was excellent. Very relatable at so many levels with true to life experiences. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

This movie hit harder than I thought it would. I really enjoyed Robert De Niro in this role; he was still Robert De Niro, but much less mobster and much more typical Italian-American dad that just wants the best for his children and is slightly out of touch with our modern-day (Modern Day is 2009). If you are in the mood for an emotional adventure drama that isn't overly sappy and cheesy, this one is right on! - Jon
