For a "war" movie, there's few gunshots, yet pure tension. '71 has its best moments when it knows its simple story give space to good moments of adrenaline and chaos. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Marco L @decatur555 13h '71 is a tense, immersive survival thriller that captures the chaos of 1970s Belfast with real force. What works best is its realism: the film feels physical, dirty, and immediate, throwing you into a city where every street can suddenly become a battlefield. It is not just about suspense or pursuit, though. Beneath the thriller structure, the film also suggests the complexity of the conflict, the clashes between the two communities, and the uneasy role of the British presence caught in the middle. It never turns the situation into a simple good-versus-evil story, which gives it more weight. At times it may rely a bit too much on extreme situations and coincidences, but it is so well directed and so effective in its tension that it remains gripping throughout. A harsh and very strong film. A totally different aspect on the war that was happening! The movie is filled with action and great acting! It’s a trill not knowing what’s going to happen next in this one. See more Chris H @RT60525826 Aug 4 Depressing and thrilling in equal measures, this film articulates the violence and the treachery during the Troubles. The collaboration between sides, while soldiers, police and civilians get murdered, is sickening. The ending is about as bleak as it could be. See more Read all reviews
