It’s a style that might feel unusual to modern viewers, but it highlights Disney’s ambition to entertain and provide value with every project. The characters themselves are memorable, even if a bit exaggerated. Ichabod Crane, with his comically oversized nose, is visually awkward yet distinct, leaving a lasting impression. See more FLICKSWITH M @FLICKSWITHMIGS Nov 1 i will only be talking about the 2nd half (the story of the legend of sleepy hollow) segment, possibly the most recognized side of this 2-story feature film from disney, and this is a great use of visual storytelling of this mixture of different genres from CHILDREN'S storybook narration, to romantic love-ish story, ending with a dark and incredible horror vibe with a fantastic comedic horror chase sequence between ichabod & the headless horseman. while fairly simple, it has really good songs and great character designs that keep everyone’s personality distinct, added with it’s usage of 2d animation that blends it’s contrasting colors wonderfully. it has a rather satisfyingly AMBIGUOUS ending that keeps you in the dark of what really happens. so check this out from disney (especially if you love their darker stories)...
