Altered’s visual effects and action sequences are captivating, but its shortcomings lie in poor sound design and problematic writing. Go to Full Review

A fun, punchy ride, for what it is: a sci-fi b-movie (the kind I love) that makes a good rental or purchase on a Video On Demand platform. Go to Full Review

Altered is a garbage sci-fi action flick with horrendous acting, a stupid plot, and ridiculous fight scenes. It’s a nonsensical story about human genetic enhancements and a superhero who uses special flowers for his powers. Go to Full Review

Know what you're in for: cheap CGI, cheap sci-fi thrills, questionable politics, some corny acting. Go to Full Review

Once the gears of Altered’s plot start to turn, any focus on trying to build its initial concept from the inside out is squashed in favor of a tired formula. Go to Full Review

Any narrative or visual ambition in this dystopian science-fiction thriller is canceled out by the lackluster script, uneven performances, wooden dialogue, and tonal awkwardness. Go to Full Review

Daniel U @RT27787169 2d Poor CGI mostly. No real acting, story line believable but not portrayed very well See more Matthew H @Matthalf 6d I had expected more from a Tom Felton film post Harry Potter but I was to be dissappointed The acting was sub par but not as bad as the audio, felt like it had been dubbed in English, it really affected being able to follow the plot and invest in the characters. Fight scenes were boring and the idea of a flower power suit was not really explored to full potential with cheap special effects/CGI. Lacked any real tension and character development, in a saturated market of both superhero and dystopian genre films it really needed to excel in more areas to be given the plaudits it could have achieved. Could have been so much better but it wasnt, I only didn't turn it off in the hope that it might get even a fraction better but it didn't and because the remote was just out of arms reach! Lol! See more Perry M @RT32443940 May 16 The premise is intriguing though the magic plant spawned of nuclear devastation leaps from the world of fantasy rather than sci-fi. Fenton struggles to carry a poor script, his performance as a dystopian Hephaestus a lifeboat built by blind desert-dwellers around which the rest of the cast flail hopelessly, inviting less the possibility of rescue than critic sharks to a beano. If only the accredited screenwriter hadn't left the script overnight in a children's ward. See more Matt C @MattTheGrouch May 14 I had to scrub my eyes clean after watching this. In the beginning, the acting was so wooden that I kept staring intently at the sceen to check if the audio was dubbed. As it went on, the story got worse, plot holes became huge and that's without the horrific script writing. I don't really bother writing reviews but, this was likely the worst movie I've ever seen. So, thought it worthwhile warning others. If everyone was made to watch this movie, it would probably have more negative impact on the world than a pandemic. See more Morys L @RT06430317 May 11 The storyline is forced making some poor acting even worse. See more David L @Dxlevene May 8 A truly awful film. Poor acting, poor plot, poor action. Honestly one of the worst films I've ever seen See more Read all reviews
