Emotional eating meets minimum wage blues, miraculously pulling off being outrageously hilarious while always remaining respectful of its persecuted portly protagonist, as it burrows into the heart and soul of small town dreams and big appetites. Go to Full Review

Admirably matter-of-fact about its antagonist and his ceaseless barrage of emotional road blocks. (Plus it's funny.) Go to Full Review

Simon T @Bucksplit 4d The good elements - nicely acted, photographed, directed - sadly can't compensate for the uncertain script. It never goes far enough with its Hal Ashby/Wes Anderson stylings. Do you really want to spend 90 minutes with a decent grotesquely overweight shop assistant who has delusions of becoming an actor? This is another Napoleon Dynamite, which is a big shame. It could have been blackly funny. See more 11/28/2011 Really has a lot of soul and honesty. I loved the lead character here. See more 04/26/2011 Such a good movie. I loved the plot, the characters and they way they made the movie. It's sad, emotional and at the same time ironically funny. Very lovable main character.
