Isa B @RT32418990 01/03/2025 When I read the brief synopsis for this film on Amazon Prime, what caught my attention, other than Yuval Scharf being strikingly beautiful, was the mentioning that the film was shot in a single sequence. As an aspiring filmmaker myself, I know just how difficult it would be to pull off such a feat. There are a lot of moving parts and dialog that has to be precisely delivered over a 76 minute runtime. The acting is very natural in this picture. My favorite part of the film was when Norman Issa's character tells the journalist, "she wanted $100,000, but I only had $90,000", pertaining to the young woman he wanted to marry. That was funny. Other than the accomplishment of filming this in a single sequence and the acting being very good, I really don't have anything else to say about Ana Arabia. It was just a journalist doing what a journalist does. The viewing experience was much like meeting a new friend's family for the first time. Everyone is minding their manners and being cordial while ultimately, you can't wait to leave. 58/100 See more 01/22/2014 Saw this at the Jewish film festival. It's not even a film. It's a camera following a dull journalist around a compound of people who may or may not be interesting. You never really know because it goes nowhere, makes no sense. It may have been the director's exercise in doing a one-take 80 minute film but it does not work. See more Read all reviews
