01/13/2021 Bellflower succeeds in enthralling and exhilarating the viewer in a way that very few films can achieve. The catastrophic tones, the very human and imperfect characters. The film's cinematography is a true achievement; one that is so realistic that it will make spectators feel like they are taking part in the movie themselves, or watching a documentary. The initial muted energy of the first act begins to melt away and a slow-burning feeling of apprehension takes over in the second act. The third act is a merciless bear trap that grips you as tightly as you grip your seat. It is a trap that seizes you with unflinching grip, and when it does let you go, it practically throws you off a cliff. The asphyxiating feeling of wide-eyed awe, terror, and madness is like a shot of adrenaline. You are utterly fixated, staring in disbelief at the events of a previously announced apocalypse. Eyebrow-singeing is what another critic called it; I consider it a very accurate assessment. See more 10/21/2019 Boring artsy nothing. Anyone who says that they like it are probably doing their own veresion of The Emperor's New Clothes. Like people who sniff wine. A lot of artsy photography with absolutely nothing else to offer. One that has some refreshingly real characters and interactions, but the whole thing of not knowing what's real and what isn't, is a little tired, and confusing. Doesn't help that a couple characters really grate on my nerves. But still, is a cool little film, I'll be watching it again to dissect it further. See more 11/27/2016 Interesting movie about 2 guys that are fans of "The Road Warrior" and go through problems with girls. Definitely not for everyone. The guys look very similar (Dirty, beards and skinny). I got lost on who was sleeping with who. Also, not sure what really happened and what was imagined in the main character's head.
