was mostly shocked by Vince Vaughan, who showed me for the first time that he wasn't the long-delayed immature frat boy he so often plays, but actually an imperfect hilarious, yet often silly, character who's main flaw is his selfishness.

It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good. There were some laughs and there were some serious moments. The idea of a comedy and a drama just typically never really fits for me. Vince Vaughn gave a good performance and Jennifer Aniston also gave a good performance.

This film really shocked me, I was genuinely expecting it to be a funny rom-com where the couple break up and have a territory fight over the shared apartment and consequently fall for each others silly gimmicks as described on the DVD box. However I found this film to be quite depressing with deep misogynistic undertones and what seems to be a deeply unhealthy couple. I may be overreacting as a teenager who hasn’t experienced an adult relationship but the entire film I just felt sorry for Annistons character and marveled at how poorly she was treated! I have to say it’s a brilliant film but I felt as though it was highly mis-advertised .

I am a staunch rom com defender, but I’ve got nothing positive to say about this one. Nothing to feel good about. Just dated, surface level drivel from characters you can’t force yourself to root for.
