Nick O'Brien is the hard-drinking leader of the Regulators, an elite unit of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Ray Merrimen is the recently paroled leader of the Outlaws, a gang of ex-military men who use their expertise and tactical skills to evade the law. O'Brien, Merrimen and their crews soon find themselves on a direct collision course as the criminals hatch an elaborate plan for a seemingly impossible heist -- the city's Federal Reserve Bank.

Butler and Schreiber deliver commanding performances. They are men who could explode at any moment, at work or at home. That nonstop ticking beneath their calm exteriors fills the film with a gripping tension.

Den of Thieves desperately wants to be Heat or The Killer when it grows up. Instead it's a daft, distant, drunken cousin to those pictures, but if you studiously avoid thinking about it, you can at least enjoy its moronic antics.

It's one thing for the bad guys to shoot one another, but when cops place dozens of innocent people in the middle of an automatic gun battle it feels gratuitous even for a movie like this.

Perfect example of a bunch of pathetic weak men making a movie to try to seem like macho, big, strong boys. You can tell all the women in this film were written by men because in real life, hot women laugh at men who act this way. In their face. The film tries so hard to create these big, cool moments but they're so cringey and embarrassing. "We're actually the bad guys" got a huge laugh from everyone but I'm pretty sure the writer/director patted himself on the back for that line when he wrote it. It's all so pathetic, it's a comedy film. Also, if you're gonna cast anorexic women, at least have the decency to cast hot men to play opposite them.

A good action thriller with tons of entertainment! I enjoyed this film, it had a great cast(Gerald Butler, O’Shea Jackson, 50 Cent, and others. Overall I give Den Of Thieves a B+ or a 8.5/10.

Den of Thieves is nowhere near as bad as the critics would have you believe. Sure, plenty of plot holes and 'why did they do that' moments, plus a tad overlong. Plenty of slick action and intrigue, and Gerard Butler is his usual serviceable self, plus an unexpected ending.
