Tarantino designed this revisionist western to blow people's gaskets. Packed with physical comedy, bloody action and hell-bent revenge, it looks like a classic widescreen Sergio Leone western... Go to Full Review

A good film, and a crazily entertaining film, until Tarantino does blow everything up, at which point it just becomes rather silly. Go to Full Review

The film is at times brilliant but mostly infuriating. It is a good movie in that masturbatory way most Tarantino films are good. Go to Full Review

By tackling a massive western, the writer and director continues to prove that he has never been short on ambition and gives us his grandest spectacle yet. Go to Full Review

It might not be the most innovative in Tarantino’s oeuvre, but it’s got real stakes and memorable characters one can root for. Django is packed with Tarantino’s postmodern trademarks, but it also has the added value of actually addressing serious issues. Go to Full Review

Eric 04/25/2025 I wish I could give this movie 10 stars. Best movie that I’ve ever seen! See more Matt 08/31/2023 LOVED IT! Never seen this before. You’re missing out if you don’t watch this. See more Chris B @Papa13070 5d This is a fun movie! Great acting, great soundtrack, great editing and great story! The scenes in the big house...top class! Every scene with Leonardo diCaprio was amazing! Now my problems with the movie: the main meat of the movie, the mid section, dragged on a little too long and some of the dialogue was a bit dull but it was necessary to tell the story. The opening of the movie though, was great, I was hooked instantly and the end was so chaotic and fast paced! I wasn't expecting this movie to be as hilarious as it was either, so many scenes had the timing of humour spot on and actually made me laugh out loud. The story isn't complicated or hard to follow which is good, I enjoyed being able to relax and watch the movie unfold. See more Shari M @RT17334350 May 17 I love period pieces, Black history, knew an actress personally, as well as locations. Can't go wrong, right? Before it got really bad, much of the dialogue sounded like they were reciting lines. I was willing to tolerate it, assuming the story would be riveting or moving in some way. It wasn't. If you're happy to hear the n-word dozens and dozens of times, profanity in every conversation, watch essentially every character get blown or shot to pieces, or have the hero blast the brains out of any remaining people, then this film is for you. I rarely invest more than two hours in a film and then conclude it was worthless. But after watching more bodies than I can count blow up (including the sound of the blood sloshing), I fast-forwarded through a few more shooting rampages to the limited dialogue, looking for something redemptive. Didn't find it. "Finished" the movie. There were a couple intriguing moments buried in five dozen deaths. Unlike Schindler's List, it's not worth it. See more Mirko V @RT57975596 May 16 First time I watched it and it was peak. Jamie Fox was cool in his outfit See more Enrique R. @NostalgicNerd May 11 My favorite Tarantino project ever! I love Django: Unchained from the cast to the action to the cinematography to the story. The performances from Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson and other talented actors. But, overall I give Django: Unchained an A+ or a 10/10. See more Read all reviews
