The recently deceased Mona Dearly was many things: an abusive wife, a domineering mother, a loud-mouthed neighbor and a violent malcontent. So when her car and corpse are discovered in the Hudson River, police Chief Wyatt Rash immediately suspects murder rather than an accident. But, since the whole community of Verplanck, N.Y., shares a deep hatred for this unceasingly spiteful woman, Rash finds his murder investigation overwhelmed with potential suspects.

R T @RT48017375 2d This is a terrific black comedy with a very clever plot. The direction was great. It was a highly entertaining indie with an amazing cast of characters. The "professional reviewers" don’t know what they are talking about. See more Just M @RT86627835 May 17 Very much worth watching. I was almost scared off by the reviews, but first 15 minutes sold me. Watched whole thing with friend and we laughed a lot. See more Stephen C @bob25009 Mar 18 A success on home media. See more Zoe B T @Peeker Jan 16 Subtle + obvious humor that has aged well. Any movie that casts Yugos as a prop in nearly every scene is worth a watch. Excellent cast. It’s a small town version and precursor to "knives out"… lots, deception, dysfunction and humor. In an age where everyone is on their phone WHILE they watch a movie, this is worth putting the phone down and listening and watching. Love the song selection throughout. Excellent directing.
