Oskar (Thomas Horn), who lost his father (Tom Hanks) in the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, is convinced that his dad left a final message for him somewhere in the city. Upon finding a mysterious key in his father's closet, Oskar sets out in search of the lock it fits. Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Another case where the critics and I must have been watching a different film. Enjoyed this film very much and recommend for anyone who has an emotional range. A real shame the reviews aren’t more positive so more people would be encouraged to experience this film. Hope my comments encourage more people to watch.

I don't know what movie the others saw, but I saw a deeply moving highly original movie. Some say it wasn't like the book, but it couldn't be like the book because it's a movie, and as such, it should be taken on its own merits as a movie. It was deeply original deeply moving with deeply heartfelt performances from everybody and that kid was brilliant. It wasn't the story of everybody's loss. It was a story of one particular kids loss and how he dealt with things and he wasn't a normal kid. He was a very bright kid well beyond his years ,and understanding ,who couldn't understand how somebody could fly right into a building and kill people they didn't know. It was brilliant when the kid finally broke down and started crying. I cried with him. It was hard to watch because it was about 911 but it was well worth it.
