Since the performances are so mediocre, it’s difficult to get wrapped up in the thrills; the characters aren’t able to convey appropriate levels of fear or even concern. Go to Full Review

The film looks good, not just for a budget film but just in general. That’s of course a lot due to Cameron’s work on Galaxy of Terror but the new sets, practical effects and props look good, too. Go to Full Review

A nastier, sillier, cheaper version of Alien -- but the blu-ray is great! Go to Full Review

At certain points you'd be forgiven for thinking that you're watching a soft-core flick. Go to Full Review

... gets my vote for both the most gratuitous nudity ever perpetrated in a sci-fi movie and the most inventive distraction from dull exposition. Go to Full Review

Hans Dieter H @RT00043584 Mar 17 A brilliant science fiction horror classic by Roger Corman. The shower and sauna scenes have cult status. They are among the most exciting and aesthetically pleasing erotic scenes in film history. All the nude scenes (which are present in most films, often longer and more explicit!) are an essential part of the plot, despite what many critics claim. It's simply fascinating when the divine Dawn Dunlap strolls through the research station in a sweet little nightgown (how boring and pale Sigourney Weaver in Alien looks by comparison!). Dawn Dunlap is a gifted actress who convincingly portrays every character. Here, she makes science fiction reality. You feel and suffer with her. For example, when she flees from the terrifying Subject 20, pleading for help. Who wouldn't want to protect her, help her, and take her in their arms? Jesse Vint (Mike Colby) is truly to be envied.
