I suppose your reaction to the film will depend to some extent on whether or not you find Matthew McConaughey a charmer. I don't, so I found Connor repulsive with no redeeming features.

You can't always run from your past. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is a 2009 American fantasy romantic comedy film directed by Mark Waters 🤦‍♀️ It’s good 🙂 Worth a watch. I’d recommend it if you like this genre 👍🏼 Celebrity photographer Connor Mead lives life in the fast lane, committed to lifelong bachelorhood and simultaneous relationships with multiple women. On the eve of his younger brother Paul's wedding, Connor's mockery of love proves a real buzz-kill for everyone - including his childhood crush, Jenny, the one woman who always seemed immune to his considerable charms. Later that night, he gets a wake-up call from the ghost of his late Uncle Wayne, the hard-partying, legendary ladies' man who was Connor's mentor.

*Ghosts of Girlfriends Past* is such a fun ride! Sure, it's a cliché and totally predictable, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need—a light, feel-good rom-com. The cast is amazing—Matthew McConaughey is perfect as the womanizing lead, and Jennifer Garner brings so much heart. And let’s not forget the hilarious supporting cast, especially Michael Douglas as the cheeky ghost mentor. The movie’s twist on Dickens’s *A Christmas Carol* is clever, and the jokes land really well. Yes, it’s pretty demeaning towards women at times, but that’s literally the point—to show how toxic that behavior is and why it needs to change. Honestly, it’s much better than people give it credit for. There’s humor, some emotional moments, and a lot of charm. It’s just pure, entertaining fluff. If you’re in the mood for something predictable but fun, this one’s a solid choice!
