Nick's character doesn't exactly develop, but we do see its innards teased gradually apart. Ben Safdie's touching performance bookends the film with enormous grace.

This movie embodies the best interpretation of realism in the film industry. None of these characters felt unnatural in their roles, it was extremely impressive. The Safdie brothers should have gotten more awards than just the Cannes for this film just for the believability and originality. Pattinson definitely deserved his award and many more for his flawless performance. He was the definition of manipulation and narcissism. This was the saddest realest movie I watched in a while, it was just a movie to most but it is honestly millions of people and families around the worlds real life. Definitely will recommend and watch it again.

One of my favorite movies of all time I love multiple things about it one being how the main character is so manipulative that it drives me the story to continue moving in a sporadic and chaotic direction. Another thing I love about it also has to do with the main character and how it’s subtly implied that he’s high the entire time without showing anything. I love that. The first time I saw this movie I was standing for the back half of it because it was so stressful and I think it’s almost perfect for the goal is trying to complete.

An alternative and unique drama. Love the cinematography and plot - the acting is top notch. Soundtrack is certainly different and out there - in parts it works really well but in other places I think it certainly distracts from the mood of the film. There are a few moments where I feel the dialogue and story gets a little unbelievable but it didn't ruin the film for me. Definitely worth a watch.
