Halloween is a very enjoyable reboot/sequel that brings Michael Myers back in great style. David Gordon Green manages to respect the atmosphere of the original movie while adding modern tension and brutality. There are also many references to the older films, especially John Carpenter’s 1978 classic, which longtime fans will appreciate. Michael feels intimidating and unstoppable again, and the movie captures the spirit of Halloween perfectly.
