Desde una perspectiva evaluativa, Happy Feet representa una apuesta creativa arriesgada, que priorizó transmitir un mensaje con conciencia social por encima de seguir fórmulas comerciales tradicionales. Aunque esta decisión limitó su impacto en ciertos sectores de la audiencia, fortaleció su valoración crítica y le permitió diferenciarse dentro del género de animación.
