Jonathan K @aFIREintheattic 10/13/2024 I'm not sure it's actually a very good movie. The slight twist at the end undermines all the tension and uncertainty that came before. Its ambiguity was its power and they gave it all away in the service of social commentary, without letting the audience in on it to build any kind of rapport to support it. Not very well executed. There is just so much inefficiency in the way in which this story is told so many shots that both having jarring movement and are unnecessarily long. It brags out the film and just makes it generally more boring. The story is quite simplistic and often I just wish it was told in a more efficient fashion. The ending maybe 10 minutes were substantially better but it did not make up for the rest of the films failures. Very much a skip.
