Damien Sachs (Sacha Baron Cohen) seemingly has it all: money, power, and a never ending stream of casual flings. As he prepares to ascend to the role of CEO at a leading advertising agency, his life is turned upside down when he wakes up in his worst nightmare: a parallel world dominated by women. Where he once ruled the boardroom, he now finds himself humbled and going head-to-head with the newly fierce and fearless Alex Fox (Rosamund Pike). With the rules of engagement changed and Alex at the top of her game, the two boldly battle it out in a playful and satirical comedy about what happens when the script is flipped.

…over 84 minutes, Ladies First aspires to make fun of the gender divide, but it’s based around the rather dubious concept that what women really want is to revenge themselves on men rather than just be treated fairly and respectfully in the first place…

The male reviews on this are wild, a lot of men didn’t get the point and how typical the bad reviews are from men. This film is not saying that women want to be misogynistic, it’s simply a role reversal that shows quite a true representation of what a lot of women go through in the corporate world. It was a funny take, easy to watch with a good message behind it.

A number of giggles and some clevor writing, but overall, not good and even dumb. Cohen & Pike had good screen chemistry, and I liked many of the supporting cast...but not enough to be worthy.
