Kudos to Niederpruem for attempting a contemporary vision for the March sisters, but the present-day context erases and ignores too much of what was remarkable in Alcott's classic story.

🥰😭😳😍 8,0 Sempre me encanto, me emociono e me comove profundamente essa historia, em todas as suas versões (essa é a 4ª já assisti 1949, 1994 e 2019) todas igualmente delicadas e apaixonantes, essa tem um diferencial, que foi a modernização da historia, e para a devida adequação muito da historia original foi alterada, entretanto manteve a essencial, que foi retratada de maneira doce, gentil e delicada, uma pequena poesia moderna... #film #films #cinema #filme #movie I'm always enchanted, moved, and deeply touched by this story, in all its versions (this is the 4th; I've already watched 1949, 1994, and 2019), all equally delicate and captivating. This one has a difference, which was the modernization of the story. For proper adaptation, much of the original story was altered, but the essence was maintained, portrayed in a sweet, gentle, and delicate way—a small modern poem...

It was okay. But the director failed to reign in the young actress playing Jo. She was unlikeable. Rather than being passionate and a little rebellious but loveable, this Jo is abrasive, selfish, shallow and mean. I found myself wanting to tell her to chill out and stop overacting. Drama queen.

Enjoyable modern adaptation of Little Women. The only thing really wrong with it was the abysmal casting of Laurie. Still shaking my head over who thought that actor was right for that role. And the professor was too handsome. It hits all the other notes though.
