And considering how funny Damon Wayans Jr. is I was disappointed they didn’t let him cook. Only a couple small jokes lost in a sea of forgettable dialogue. So I wouldn’t recommend it on a normal basis, but if you’re feeling sad and need a movie to cheer you up this is the one. There's suspending disbelief and then there's a fundamental plotline that shouldn't exist, the same as doctors falling in love with their patients, bosses falling in love with their employees, and professors falling in love with their students. I am always happy to see Rachael Leigh Cook in a romantic lead, and even though it was strange to see Damon Wayans Jr. play such a serious and straightforward role, he did a good job, too. There aren’t any big surprises when it comes to the plot. It’s a familiar route many rom-coms have taken before. However I was surprised to see Heather Graham show up. Anyway, I smiled most of the time I was watching it and I even chuckled a few times, so I think Love, Guaranteed was worth the time I spent on it.
