While out hunting, Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) finds the grisly aftermath of a drug deal. Though he knows better, he cannot resist the cash left behind and takes it with him. The hunter becomes the hunted when a merciless killer named Chigurh (Javier Bardem) picks up his trail. Also looking for Moss is Sheriff Bell (Tommy Lee Jones), an aging lawman who reflects on a changing world and a dark secret of his own, as he tries to find and protect Moss.

The lack of respect for the body, the sheer bloody aftermath depresses me. Yes, they may handle the killing with verve and ironic tension, but this is a Coen brothers film too far.

The folksy characters typical of the Coens’ work are perfectly juxtaposed against the ruthlessness of Bardem’s incomparable performance. Both the landscape and soundscape are simultaneously barren and rich, mirroring the understated yet powerful dialogue.

Whether the Coens have made better movies is subject to opinion but there is something incontrovertible about No Country’s status as god-tier filmmaking. Repeat viewings do nothing to lessen its staggering power.

A mí parecer es una película intensa, silenciosa y profunda que deja pensando más de lo que explica,en lo personal me parece que el asesino es bastante bueno,de los mejores que he visto en películas,en general me causo bastante suspenso durante la trama y me agrado bastante,aunque la verdad no me esperaba que terminara de esa manera.

La verdad me gustó la película porque estuvo entretenida, había mucha tensión por los diálogos cortos y los tiempos largos, ya que no sabes que puede pasar y te tiene pensando sobre las acciones de el asesino o de los demás personajes, y aunque me gustó, algo que no me terminó de convencer fue la muerte rápida de lewelyn, ya que toda la historia nos estuvo hablando de él y haciéndonos creer que es "inmortal" ya que se salvaba de todos, y pues solo termina teniendo una muerte no tan gloriosa como lo esperaba

Beautifully shot, acting was phenomenal. Don’t think I’ve witnessed a character more terrifying than Javier Bardem. Just can’t bring myself to rate it higher given there’s no resolution to the film. Maybe that’s the theme, but I like a story with a good ending.
