I do not believe it. I also saw the sequel to the ugliest movie I've ever laid eyes on. But I had to do it, as I found it in television programming and was tempted to see if there has been a slight improvement or if there is never an end to the worst. Let's start by specifying one thing: I did not like this film and it bored me a lot, but the production in my opinion has read some reviews, because I have seen microscopic improvements. The characters no longer move their arms at random, and the story at least is as sensible as the villain's motives. Of course, the plot holes remain: for example we discover that the son Quinn, the eldest, can speak Humanese for no reason (perhaps genetic reasons?). What we do know for sure is that Norm has become King (oh dear how much is it to say) and he is invited back to New York to receive the keys to the city. Don't ask me why. Meanwhile at the north pole the other two children take their father's cell phone to be able to see the award ceremony. In New York we meet the two humans we had seen in the previous film and Norm receives the Mayor's keys as a more symbolic act. The next day, however, there were robberies in major banks where Norm was blamed because the cameras had seen him. Surely you are thinking that it cannot be Norm, also because we are told shortly before that Norm's gadgets have exploded and therefore it could also be understood that his fault is not his. I immediately thought of the Mayor as guilty, because ... Yes. He is the only character they have known so far and therefore, if you wanted to develop a mystery, it doesn't work. In Scooby Doo, for example, we are introduced to numerous characters because in this way we manage to disperse the real culprit and there are many suspicions to bet on. A problem that unfortunately also suffered by Cars 2. Returning to us, we are also introduced to this rabbit who acts as a rich man but also Norm's adviser. In my opinion, without him the film could have gone on honestly, but someone new has to be added by force, albeit in a forced way. Eventually, surprised, we discover that the Mayor is the culprit and after a chase he is captured by Norm. The film could also end here, but to make us more bored, a second episode is also introduced in which people from one state extract ice directly from the Arctic to be able to produce water. However, a senseless move, given that the transport costs and certainly the expenses are not worth the trip. From which starts a hockey challenge against the state and in the end, I would never have gotten there, the arctic wins. There is not much more to say about the story, except that it falls into very badly exploited clichés and is ultra-predictable. The graphics get worse than the first and are just plain ugly. The main characters do not undergo a real evolution and the new one-dimensional characters. Norm's children really could have been better exploited but they are only extras. Nobody asked. Honestly who wanted it? Well, we have a 4 movie franchise. I have already made too many sacrifices and I don't want to continue. I wasted 3 hours, I know, but I want to do it for the good of humanity. With bad graphics, two boring stories, and characters lacking real development, Norm of The North 2 was not meant to exist.
