William Thacker (Hugh Grant) is a London bookstore owner whose humdrum existence is thrown into romantic turmoil when famous American actress Anna Scott (Julia Roberts) appears in his shop. Entertaining and watchable 100% but the story line is dog poo… it’s just so unbelievably far fetched… and while you want to love Julia Robert’s character you end up kinda hating her in the end. I wanted to love this film but it just left feeling kinda like Wt f was that. Wasn’t really romantic at all and if this is what is acceptable then it’s no wonder most relationships don’t pan out. It just didn’t feel like LOVE at all. Sorry

Oh so disappointing from the pen of the writer behind "Four Weddings & A Funeral". This is nothing more than a vehicle for the soppy heartthrob Grant and the overpaid starlet Roberts. Both of whom show little effort to make their respective roles believable. Over-stretched storyline, smutty humour and clichéd denouement make this an embarrassing example of risque British humour backed by the Hollywood machine. Disgraceful!
