Reminds me of Adam Sandler's "Twins" movie & even Alpachino couldn't save it. It was like the directing, editing, character motivation, all of it couldn't draw a line from anything to nothing! The cast alone should have lent a hand to the success but they didn't! Once in a while a piece of art just falls apart at the seams. This piece did that & tossed itself into the trash after committing suicide! The LAST scene was an aging OldDude in bed with his old yucky belly sticking up. Monte Python would have rejected the visual of that last shot as "way to over the top for even- raunchy humor!" The sad mini story of the dudes necklace to a full blown BIG ENDING surprise! What the hell? I barely qualify to WATCH film & I am forced to give this a thumbs down on behalf of the unqualified EVERYWHERE! See more Chuck J @CallMeChuck Feb 22 Old guy's script is a solid genre offering by Greg Johnson, but suffers from hack, uninspired directing and total miscasting. Lucy Liu is the worst offender, playing the hooker with a heart of gold as completely sexless and devoid of chemistry with anyone else on screen. No idea why she took the part of a character she is obviously offended by. Waltz is a fine actor, but lacks vulnerability. He's far too put together for a role which asks for a broken down old wretch in denial, saddling up for one last ride. Finally, the part of the young, callow upstart could have been a star making role, but is wasted on some shlub named Cooper Hoffman, who I guess is a nepo, but has no idea what to do with the role. It was torture watching the movie and imagining what it could have been like with the cast of Color of Money or Breaking Bad or Gran Torino. It could've been great, but, frustratingly, was just OK.
