It could be good but the main protagonist Luke is just too whiney and way too unlikable. Always crying about everything but adding no comedy at all to the movie. Klyle was pretty funny. The brother wasn’t bad either but Luke’s character ruins it.

i was excited to see operation taco gary's, but this is not really the "indie film" it's been marketed as. it's more like the director consciously chose to do a bad job to save money. none of the setting shots really were interesting, i think nearly every scene was done in one take. nothing is done with care, and they will not stop making ketamine jokes that werent funny the first time around. there are a bunch of posters in the background of the film that are flagrantly ai generated, it's just extremely lazy and cheap all around. do we need to see 40 ankle sprains using the same sound effect in a single two minute chase scene? no, we do not. the ableism re: psychosis and medication is not very tasteful either. i just don't think that i've laughed a single time, and if i were the creator of this movie i would not have released it.

Operation Taco Gary’s feels more like a long-form YouTube video rather than a film. It has its comedic moments but with some rather bad acting and terrible story elements. It’s an over-the-top parody-style film that just couldn’t hit the mark it was reaching for.
