Is it horror? Is it a bigger social commentary? Is it a comedy? Perhaps yes and no to all three. Rather than define itself or its messages in any definitive way, Parasite is a collection of moments, from humor to sorrow to disgusting to outright weird. Theres no standard to hold it to, unless youre really nitpicking it stands on its own as an oddity. A remarkable oddity but an oddity nonetheless.
