As in Kevin Macdonald's recent submarine drama Black Sea, the film has moments of intensity and tension but risks becoming a trial of endurance for audiences. Go to Full Review

Pressure is certainly the most predictable and formulaic film of the week. Go to Full Review

The film is earnestly intended, but doesn't come to life. Go to Full Review

Too baggy for its moments of unease to resonate throughout an already lean runtime, Pressure can't quite rise above the level of mediocrity. At least it tries though. Go to Full Review

It is asking a lot of any director to put a group of men in a diving bell and sustain the same level of tension throughout. Go to Full Review

The underwater setting, at the edge of human endurance, is a great place for telling an interest story. Unfortunately, Pressure buckles. Go to Full Review

Charlotte B @RexsMom 4h Like Darkest Hour, this is a tense drama set during WWII. Both the historical and personal sacrifices play into this fine film. Ironically, after seeing this I sat next to a table at a restaurant where the under 30’s had no knowledge of the significance of Hawaii during that war. Please urge your younger friends to see this to teach them about WWII. Possibly the best film I’ve seen in years. See more Emmanuel R. @supeM Feb 2 I personally found this movie to deliver on its premise and for those fearful of the ocean this is a thriller that without a monster still does a decently effective job at making ur anxious under the water many 100’s of feet below the surface See more andrea c @Charst 03/13/2021 Idea interessante e personaggi ben mixati seppur non originali (molto simili a Black Sea). See more 04/26/2020 To gain tension you need to gain the respect of your audience and treat them as intelligent. It is not hard to realise in the first 20 minutes there is some fundamental faults with the story - even if you have never experienced deep sea diving. The director tries to build tension at the expense of common sense and this leads to a detachment from the film that is uncomfortable and pushes this film into the lower catagories. Shame as a bit more respect and attention to detail could have made this a far better watch considering the set and location costs must have been low. See more 06/04/2018 Trapped in a room movie at its finest. All great acting, writing, directing, cinematography, score, everything made me feel like I was in that pod with those men. I love it.
