An action-packed thriller where five ballerinas, on their way to a prestigious dance competition, are barely on speaking terms when their bus breaks down in a remote forest. With no other options, they reluctantly seek shelter at an unsettling roadside inn run by Devora Kasimer (Uma Thurman), a reclusive former ballet prodigy. From the moment they arrive, something feels wrong—and their worst instincts prove right. As the situation turns deadly, the fractured team must set aside rivalries and weaponize years of brutal training, turning grace, discipline, and even pointe shoes into tools for survival.

Critics Consensus

Starting off with a fun hook and diluting it with a plethora of clichés, Pretty Lethal doesn't reach its full operatic potential but doles out enough balletic action to remain reasonably en pointe.

While I’m reluctant to credit a film like “Pretty Lethal” with moving this exhausted horror subgenre away from its threadbare formula, it’s a twirl in the right direction. Go to Full Review

Nothing here is to be taken very seriously at all but it is mostly devoid of the suffocating, and often nihilistic, smugness one has come to expect from modern action films. Go to Full Review

Despite the constant mayhem, Pretty Lethal brings little that’s new to the dance floor. Go to Full Review

It’s hard not to enjoy the all-in performances, the amusing interplay, the terrific production design, and the stylishly original action that is equal parts visceral and comical. Go to Full Review

The film isn’t genre or trope-defying, nor does it carry any distinctive style. "Pretty Lethal"’s core standout remains just how much fun it has with ballet as not just a dance form, but a way of life. Go to Full Review

Pretty Lethal might have a killer logline, but it is pretty lame with its character development, leaving the final project stuck in second position. At least the action was on pointe. Go to Full Review

KerryWhite's S. @KerryWhite77 2h Rating: 6/10. 61/100 See more Karthik Y. @madkarthi 3d this is bad and waste of time. Utterly boring routine story only. I am simply not understanding why I sat and watched this film. I want to watch this flim only for Uma Thurman and Avantika. But what a disappointment. This is the most irritating film I have seen in this year. Simply the worst one. It is totally bad. Way too much bad. See more Judge M @RT08891081 6d I tried to enjoy the movie by taking it for the comedy that it is, but somehow, I couldn't watch it without holding my head in disbelief. I can't understand how the girls failed to realize the gravity of their situation, given that their trainer was killed right in front of their faces. There was a lot of cringe, and it was really hard to watch. I believe this movie was not thoroughly thought out. They could have given it a proper ending, but instead, they gave us that? I get the feeling that the ending script was just written overnight. I mean, they could have given Uma Thurman one last performance before she blew the place up! And what about their trainer? They could have made that woman evil so the girls could just move on without needing justice. Are you telling me these girls are just going to go about their day simply because they danced at the end? You had a famous and talented cast, and what a waste of their talent, because you did not do them justice! See more Mickey B. @MickeyBeyond May 18 It’s a fun campy ballet movie. It knows exactly what it is and it isint afraid to show it. See more Dawn C @FroggieGirl76 May 15 This movie genuinely surprised me. Perhaps the biggest surprise of the movie was the immensely talented Uma Thurman, who played her role like an absolute boss. (Seriously is there anything she can't do?) The movie is about 5 ballerinas on their way to a dance competition and they demonstrate everything to us that we would not expect from ballerinas who are in the really wrong place at the wrong time. It's a total girl power movie though with plenty of action and suspense. It was interesting how they combined fighting with dancing, whoever thought of that was pretty creative. This movie had my full attention right from the beginning and I've learned that you probably don't want to mess with ballerinas! I highly recommend this one, you won't be disappointed.
