It's status as the shortest film ever nominated for a Best Picture Oscar is unchallenged because her presence absolutely defines the film. The picture has some very good editing and great direction with iconic singing and glamorous dresses from the marvelous Mae West, and the very suave and Debbonaire attitude of Cary Grant. She done him wrong might not be the best of the best picture nominees, but it certainly is a memorable one thanks to Mae West and Cary Grant. The film is very entertaining. The corny accents of Mae West and Carey Grant were bad but the general incoherence of the plot didn’t help. A plot of pre code racy innuendo but this still hasn’t aged too well.
