Shae M @Excelsior 3d I childhood favourite of mine. Follows the same premise of Karate Kid. With its own twist. The main Barry who daydreams about being a sidekick with Chuck. Gets bullied at school. Starts Martial arts with a teachers uncle. Its fun with great music! Chuck is epic as always. My favourite Chuck Norris and Jonathan Brandis movie I also had Asthma growing up as a kid. I was walking to church and had to be rushed to hospital because of my Asthma. After that I joined Martial arts classes and over time I beat my Asthma. Then because I kicked my Asthma, helped my join my Basketball and baseball team! The comparisons are unavoidable. Alas, this offering really is a strange combination of a few ideas, of which none really shine. All in all its a very cliched, generic, and formulaic plot, with some heavily watered-down Chuck Norris action thrown in. See more David W @Sternhammer Jul 28 Should have been a straight home run with Chuck, Mako and child actor Brandis but with Aaron Norris at the helm it just never gets beyond another Karate Kid wannabe. I'd have loved to see Chuck in far more films with a decent director rather than utilising his brother. The heights that Chuck could have reached were never fully realised as a result and I say that as a huge fan of Chuck.
