The film’s modest facade proves a smoke screen for a rich and eventful ride; one plot development in particular hits with such surprise that it catches the audience far more unawares than the characters. Go to Full Review

K K @RT94156066 2d A definite WOLF factor! Significant Other works as a lean psychological thriller built on atmosphere and restraint. The Oregon setting is used effectively, enhancing isolation rather than acting as backdrop decoration. Sound design and ambiguity carry much of the tension without over-explanation. What stands out is Maika Monroe’s evolving career. From It Follows, The Guest, and Tau to Longlegs and upcoming projects like In Cold Light, she consistently avoids typecasting while maintaining a grounded, controlled screen presence across genres. See more Dave D. @DoubleDownDave 4d Like others have said, it starts off like it’s going to be interesting, then it falls off the deep end. It’s really bad. And silly. I watched it with my mom and neither one of us could finish it. We made it to the 55 minutes mark. I’m surprised that we even made it that far… See more Danielle C. @DaniELLIE May 2 Eh. It was definitely an original idea I’ll give it that. Good cast and acted well but I dislike sci fi and that’s kind of where this heads into See more Rich C. @Cordu0702 Apr 18 Nice film. Loved the cast. See more Philip B. @thetachi693 Feb 23 Giving it a four star because I liked the way it ended, I feel like it can’t possibly be a perfect score because the acting was a little overdone at times. Almost corny. And it started very slow with a bunch of filler. It’s true the twists were enough to be unpredictable and that’s where it wins me over. I didn’t expect some of the outcomes and I’m very good at figuring out plot lines Get a four star because when it finished i realized I enjoyed it. Pretty simple film. I wish they didn’t show the alien in the opening scene, would have made the movie much more suspenseful. See more Julian N @JulianRates Feb 15 The movie sucked, it led to literally nothing, and the ending was dogshi, and I would never suggest anyone to waste an hour and a half to watch this movie. Whoever wrote the script should never work in film ever again, and the most thrilling part of the whole movie was the jump scare of the wood truck driving by at the end, and it leads fortherei to there being a sequal but obviously will never get one because this was ass. horrible movie and the whole I can't do thisbecause I love you, think like what? That was just hard to watch See more Read all reviews
