Kimberly R @RT85479662 Nov 21 Saint Trinian’s was never meant to be high cinema, and that’s exactly why it works so well. It’s cheeky, chaotic, and unapologetically aimed at teen girls who want a bit of mischief, a bit of friendship, and a lot of attitude. The cast leans in beautifully — Colin Firth is brilliant, and Rupert Everett as Camilla Fritton is genuinely iconic. It’s light-hearted, quotable, and absolutely perfect for sleepovers, girlhood nostalgia, and anyone who loves a bit of rebellious British humour. Not every film needs to be profound; some just need to be fun. Saint Trinian’s knows exactly what it is, and it does it perfectly. See more alan g @agenser Aug 29 Sexy and fun. See more Ella C @RT28304892 Jul 27 I think the reason this is rated so low is because people don't seem to understand the witt and awkward humour that goes into this film which makes it seem more realistic to the female high school experience while showing a less than ordinary lifestyle making it relatable. people who don't get it are looking at it through their eyes not the eyes of the target audience as this film clearly has a target demographic and most of the negative reviews are from men, specifically over 40 years of age and can't cast their view to be that of a teenage girl. people need to rate films feom the view of the target audience and think about the humour used and consider if its intentionally awkward to add to the humour or if you simply don't get it because your closed minded, also the shooting of this is exellent and the colouring makes it feel so much gritter and realistic rather than like a set, again adding to the relatability of the film as a whole. I think the casting and acting is fabulous and would honestly love to spend a day in ST Trinian’s if it was a real school. Essentially, the education style is very different to traditional methods, with no real rules other than murder, but they do produce smart girls. Chelsea, initially notorious for being ‘so blonde’ was smart enough to get a security guard to give her all the security information about the gallery. And was able to beat high performing schools in an academic competition. So much for ‘just wild school girls’. The relationship between Annabelle Fritton and the other girls as the film goes on is very well portrayed. At the start, very hostile towards each other, and humiliating her on the internet, at the end, helping them cover their tracks in their mission and tricking her backstabber of a father into buying a painting to help save the school. And Colin Firth, who someone said ‘looks liked they regretted accepting the role throughout’, was really just playing a fabulous portrayal of a character who is in love with the headmistress, but at the same time, trying to maintain a professional image as minister of education, and his goal of shutting down the worst schools in the country, one of those being ST Trinian’s.
