Ex-soldier Frank Brayker (William Sadler) is the guardian of an ancient key that can unlock tremendous evil; the sinister but charming Collector (Billy Zane) is a demon who wants the key so he can initiate the apocalypse. On the run from wicked mercenaries for almost 90 years, Brayker finally stops in at a boarding house in New Mexico where -- with the help of its quirky residents -- he plans to face off against the Collector and his band of ghouls, preventing them from ever seizing the key.

It is a campy homage that doesn’t promise any thought-provoking resonance but will provide some easy thrills and stellar kills. Demon Knight knows what it is and doesn’t hide from it.

I saw this movie around’98 and loved it. It has a great soundtrack and a stellar performance from Billy Zane who plays what I would think the actual Devil would be like if he actually existed. I’m scrolling through the TV, looking for something to watch and was so happy to see this in 2025 available on Peacock. I give it 5 stars partly because of nostalgia, and partly because it’s just a fantastic little film.

Underrated horror thriller. The practical effects alone are top notch h giving the Thing a run for its money. And the story is intriguing. There’s also a ton of hilarious parts in it, definitely worth a watch
