Sadly, it ultimately builds to a would-be shocking twist that is not nearly the game-changer it claims to be, leaving viewers with more questions than answers. Go to Full Review

The Astronaut has a lot going for it, but, like the lead character in the opening scenes, it doesn’t quite stick the landing. Go to Full Review

Varley’s grip, her taut observation of nerve-wracking isolation, loosens and the film devolves into a blunt and clichéd consideration of family. The transition is awkward, and more cartoonish than moving, as the performers try to regain their footing. Go to Full Review

The Astronaut fails to sustain the complexity of its own questions. The feeling it leaves us with is that of a story that could have gone much further had it embraced its ambiguity until the end. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Architecture fans will surely enjoy the gorgeous glass-walled house with its stunning green views; the film's finale is effective, too. But there's a chance you'll have aborted this mission long before that arrives. Go to Full Review

Chris H @BeardedRonin May 14 The lack of common sense the main character has is comical...This movie is Butt. See more Daniel G @DanielGodoy May 10 Really nice twist at the end that explains very clearly why the astronaut was left alone in this huge house after returning to Earth. The acting is very basic, but it's an action/suspense movie, with a few moments of those "horror" chills. See more Frederico Teixeira G @RT31881376 May 9 Worst and most ridiculous plot twist I’ve ever seen. Not that the movie had been so far brilliant but the finale turns out to ruin something that was now or less mediocre. See more K. H @RT41423953 May 5 WTF ??? I just want my 1h31m back See more Emma S @Chaapuuu May 5 What the fuck sort of plot twist was that!? It was so good to start with, what the hell!? See more Mark L @RT59289700 May 2 With a good cast and a promising start, it became nonsensical, an astronaut being assessed on returning to Earth, yet left alone at night to fend for herself in an isolated yet fully high-tech house. Viewers might also notice a scene that’s remarkably similar to one in the first Jurassic Park (if they stay with it long enough). A potentially good story that could have told in a much better way. Disappointing. See more Read all reviews
