Ultimately, the documentary works because it knows exactly what image it wants to project of its protagonist: that of a spoiled young woman, obsessed with attention and emotionally dependent on social media. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Yet another true crime curiosity, this film—intentionally or not—offers an indictment of a youth culture obsessed with performing a false lifestyle for social media. Go to Full Review

The Crash doesn't uncover any new information that hasn't been in other documentaries about convicted murderer Mackenzie Shirilla. However, it has a diverse variety of interviews, including rare documentary comments by Shirilla and her parents. Go to Full Review

The ‘why?’ is never fully satisfied in the well-constructed doc which pulls us towards the basic facts as we are surrounded by young adults and even parents so aloof to their behavior that even they couldn’t begin to understand that query. Go to Full Review

Miranda J. @Mjohns23 14h Very engaging, however it left a lot of important information out which makes it hard to learn the facts and form a valid opinion about what happened. See more Wendi E @WendiWrite 16h Tragic for all involved. Well done, and definitely showed "both sides." See more Sammer A @sammer864 17h the issue here is , it feel Netflix and who ever made this , took a side, and didn't show the counter evidence i don't believe this girl committed the claimed crime. See more Joshua S @RT41554144 1d Compelling story of an awful tragedy that changed countless lives. I am not sure it answers the question we all have - what really happened that night - but it does provide insight into the lives of those killed and the life of the one who is at the center of it all. Hard watch because of the real deaths that happened, but great presentation of all involved. See more Sergio A @Sergio83 1d The true story on which it is based is fascinating in its own right, and that alone makes the documentary engaging. However, beyond presenting those events, it offers very little. It provides no fresh perspective or particularly insightful analysis that would justify its existence beyond simply recounting the facts. In the end, the greatest source of interest comes from the real story itself rather than from the way the documentary chooses to tell it. See more Rachelle H. @RachH77 1d I thought this wouldn’t be much more than what I had watched or read in the news or news media, but I was wrong. Watching her Mean Girls persona with parents who at best were anything but concerned parents and took the la ti da parental approach to their out of control daughter. All they both did was make excuses for her, even after she was arrested. While previously mourning families of the deceased boys emotionally turned sour against her, while previously supported her, her parents acted outlandishly surprised. Even after she was sentenced, her mother stood up. What we thought might be a verbal support of the grieving families became an eye roll of unrepentant furthering unbelief and excuses for her daughter, at which she was admonished by the sentencing judge. I heard the dad was fired after this movie came out. I wish I cared. See more Read all reviews
