Commuter Rachel Watson (Emily Blunt) catches daily glimpses of a seemingly perfect couple, Scott and Megan, from the window of her train. One day, Watson witnesses something shocking unfold in the backyard of the strangers' home. Rachel tells the authorities what she thinks she saw after learning that Megan is now missing and feared dead. Unable to trust her own memory, the troubled woman begins her own investigation, while police suspect that Rachel may have crossed a dangerous line.

Quizzical lackluster reception. Blunt is great in anything and the story was cool. It was a bit disjointed in it's delivery but overall I thought it a great movie and I'm keeping it for my collection.

I absolutely loved the book, I couldn’t put it down. The movie, on the other hand, was just okay if you haven’t read the book. But honestly, I felt that without having read it first, I wouldn’t have understood what was going on at all. It was so confusing! I really didn’t like that they changed and left out so many important details. And changing the entire setting from the London suburbs to New York? That just didn’t make sense to me. For me and my friend (who also read the book) was a disappointment.

Emily Blunt is good in this movie and I would consider the twist and turns some what predicted, however the ending is good. However it is not a movie for a rewatch. I was pleased with the supporting cast, however it felt a bit dry with some over others. But followed the main character though alcoholism and getting sober and her memory coming back. With out spoilers, it was hard to get into and hard to follow the first 20 minutes had to rewatch parts to place characters. 2.5/5
