After arriving safely home from their unprecedented victory in the 74th Annual Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) discover that they must do a quick turnaround and begin a Victors Tour. As she and Peeta travel throughout the districts, Katniss senses a rebellion is stirring. However, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) proves that he is still very much in control when word comes of a cruel change in the rules for the upcoming 75th Hunger Games.

(Overall Rating: 3.54/5) (Good) --- (Cinematography/Atmosphere: 4.25/5) Visually I think this film was slightly better than the first. Beautiful shots and cool CGI. Unlimited arrows though. --- (Storyline/Plot: 3.25/5) Basically the same story as the last movie with only the last little bit setting up something more grand. There were hints about this dropped throughout though. --- (Acting: 3.75/5) The acting was solid all around, but nothing spectacular. The moaning/grunting was a bit over the top at times. --- (Character Quality: 3.75/5) Even after two movies there is not a huge connection to any characters. We are seeing characters with ulterior motives now though which could be cool. --- (Entertainment Value: 3.5/5) With it being basically just a re-skin of the first film I was left just slightly bored at times. The arena is where all the excitement is. --- (Expectations vs. Reality: 2.75/5) After only watching the 1st movie, I was really hoping for something more.

Once again, another horrifically beautiful entry into the Hunger Games series. With each move made by both Katniss and President Snow, it leaves me itching with anticipation for a final showdown. I definitely recommend this for action, adventure, thriller, and sci-fi fans, and for fans of The Hunger Games series!
