chris S @RT26543318 2d After 14 years since this movie originally came out, watching it in 2026 is a refresher in the Romantic/Romantic Comedy genre. The Romantic movies of today are quite explicit and nearly all include some form of cheating by either the male or female lead. "The Lucky One" luckily, does not have that messaging and showcases love that is real. However, the movie is semi-predictable but there is still enough mystery as it does not go with the "status-quo" of similar movies. There also was much opportunity to dig deeper, and a fair amount of emotion was left on the table - the viewer wishing for more. Overall, it was a good watch and is a nice break from the monatony of today's film. See more Kim K @RT66608143 Mar 23 I read the book because the main character Elizabeth was so unreasonably upset over the maile finding her photo and it's like the movie the actress or screenwriter sent the wrong message. I'm still reading the book. I'm not sure yet if the hat part would make sense and come together. However a two star because half way through the book, I wished they would have faded in and out tothe beginning of the book . The reader would have known the main character more thoroughly. He is a strong character. Not a brooding one. The film made him gloss the top and insignigicant. Let him dominate the story. And fade in and out so u can see him. The film left out substance. While I may not have a column or a blog that people read, I consider myself to be somewhat literate and an avid movie watcher. This is more than I feel good movie, and lightly touches on the subject of divine intervention. It leaves us with a positive feeling wondering if something else might be guiding us through life. In my opinion, it is very cleverly written and not a rehash of any movie that I have ever seen. This is definitely a must-see movie that anyone who watches it will enjoy.
