In its celebration of these characters... this film demonstrates how indispensable every single one of us is, and how much those living with disabilities have to offer the world, if only people took the time to notice. Go to Full Review

What the “Machine” filmmakers did here is to point this out in a humorous and lighthearted manner why AI is the last thing humanity needs at the moment. To be sure, it is a cautionary tale and does so without any furrow-browed, tsk-tsk, finger-wagging. Go to Full Review

Kirk 11/20/2021 Seriously Loved this movie all over again!!! One of of the best animated movies of the year, one of the best movies of the year, and Definitely of the best MOVIES ever made period! I implore everyone who can go see The Mitchells vs the Machines in theaters Now and tomorrow. Had a wonderful time all over again and first timers will too! See more Warren P @RT90820042 7h The Mitchells vs. the Machines was entertaining, but I just didn't love it. It has a fun concept and some genuinely funny moments, but at times it felt a little too chaotic and random for me to fully connect with it. The animation style is unique, but it almost felt overwhelming instead of adding to the story. I did appreciate the message about family and communication, especially between Katie and her dad, but it felt a bit predictable. You can kind of see where everything is going from the beginning, so the emotional moments didn’t hit as hard as they probably should have. Overall, it’s a solid movie and I get why people like it, but it just didn’t fully land for me. See more Marlie M @RT84356043 22h I think this movie is a very cute and informational movie that people should take the time to watch. The movie focuses on a family and how technology puts a strain on the dad's and daughter's relationship. The film does a great job of keeping the audience entertained by its cute animation style. It does a great job of showing the distance technology creates and how important it is to communicate with people. See more Caylee D @Cayleedial23 1d At the beginning we see a father and daughter who have grown apart and throughout the movie it shows the journey they take to repair their relationship. Technology and social media play a major role in the entire movie. The scene where the robots lure people into their trap by saying "free Wi-Fi right over here" shows how technology obsessed our world has become. Overall I think it is a good movie and I believe it is very relevant to current times with how AI is making a big impact and people often say AI is taking over the world like the robots did. As someone who works in social media management I will say I rather movies not focus so much on social media and technology because I enjoy watching movies to relax and sometimes escape from real life stresses. But in the end I enjoyed seeing how the family grew closer together and even though they have differences, they now understand each other and get along. See more DeAndre B. 2d The Mitchells vs the Machines (2021) was a unique gem when I first saw it. The movie showed deep connections between a father and his daughter throughout this beloved story and it showed much relatability in doing so. The way technology is portrayed somewhat gives a sense of realism that we rely too much on them as the negative effects that it has on people. It is adoring that throughout the film, you see the major change in both the father and daughter's relationship as they go from being at first connected to being distant due to their differing interests and then regaining their connection. It is a great story that gives relatability a powerful way to send a message to today's society about the use of technology and how it affects our identities and interests. See more Tobias B @theeRottenTomatoe 4d This movie was incredible, other than being a fun and entertaining movie it featured excellent critiques of the rising presence of technology in our lives. The movie was also an excellent family story and showcased how a family can come together to survive anything, even a giant Furby. In a world that is increasingly reliant on AI this movie serves as an example of the worst that could happen. The movie itself was amazingly animated and I enjoyed the fourth wall breaks referencing real products and software like YouTube. From the voice acting, the story, sound design, and animation this movie was an amazing tale of family relationships and the power they have. Five out five definitely recommend for all movie enjoyers. See more Read all reviews
