As gripping as it is deeply unsettling, The Perfect Neighbor lays bare the systemic failures and the quiet terror embedded in American legal systems with surgical precision.

Extremely powerful and extremely important documentary filmmaking. Go to Full Review

A chilling and provocative look at the limits of policing, particularly when the laws the police are called to enforce present more of a problem than a solution. Go to Full Review

Captured entirely from police cam footage, this Oscar-buzzed documentary about a white Florida woman who murders her Black neighbor indicts an entire society. It's also the scariest movie you’ll see this Halloween season. Go to Full Review

...the argument has to be made that the killer has some kind of racial bias. Sometimes, if not most times, that bias or racism can be difficult to prove. With this film, it's actually easy to prove. Go to Full Review

The film is as close to objective as can be achieved. And what you get is as real and devastating a view of America that you are likely to see anywhere. Go to Full Review

Carin 21h It's hard to watch this and have it not affect you. It stays and sits with you after its over. It might be hard because you might be drawn to harsh truths. For me it was shocking how something they story builds you see both sides true its talking to cops but for the most part they stay true to the real people. In the end you gotta stay justice was served and a jury of her peers came to a decision. Sometimes you gotta think before you act because the consequences cannot be undone. Two Thumbs way up! See more Christi O @ImpeccableTaste 3d Phenomenally edited found footage documentary about a literal demon. The negative reviews from Americans really drives home that country is beyond repair. I don’t know how it’s possible to watch the footage of those sweet babies finding out their mom isn’t coming home and to have any reaction other than, "maybe the yanks were right about the death penalty." I hope inmates scream outside of her cell every day until she has that heart attack she was praying for. See more Kristy B @Kristy835 4d What absolutely garbage. Filmmakers should be ashamed at this poorly put together portrayal that leaves alot to be questioned Don't waste your time! See more Robert W 4d What I saw wasn’t justice — it was harassment dressed up as righteousness. A group of people relentlessly tormenting an elderly woman, provoking her, surrounding her, recording her, and escalating everything until there was no way out. Then they hide behind slogans like "no justice, no peace" to excuse their behavior. That’s not accountability. That’s mob behavior. The documentary clearly shows selective framing, emotional manipulation, and a disturbing lack of self-reflection from the people doing the harassing. The old woman was treated like an example — not a human being — and the film never seriously questions whether the constant provocation played a role in what happened. If the roles were reversed, people would be screaming about cruelty and abuse. But because the narrative fits a certain agenda, it’s brushed off as activism. This wasn’t about peace. This wasn’t about justice. It was about power, intimidation, and making someone crack on camera. Netflix should be ashamed See more Poppy L @Popps 5d Good story. But meh in terms of filmmaking. No deep insight other than what was reported. Compilation of footage in chronological order. See more Liam D @Mediawatcher2003 Jan 20 As well made as it is infuriating. This is an important documentary made with care and compassion for an issue that is sadly still reverent in American culture that isn’t gonna go away anytime soon See more Read all reviews
