What to Know

Critics Consensus

A pared-down, no-holds-barred actioner that further cements Jon Bernthal as the definitive interpreter of The Punisher in a self-contained, marvelous story that goes above and beyond for One Last Kill.

Audience Says

A brutally unhinged peak-TV special, The Punisher proves One Last Kill is nowhere near enough.

[Bernthal] is so fully locked into this version of the Punisher, physically and emotionally, that even when the material tips into excess, he keeps it grounded. Go to Full Review

The special is ultimately a mixed bag, doing little to elevate the character or engage the audience that’s already deeply familiar with The Punisher. Go to Full Review

Don’t expect this story to say anything new. Its job is to replace the need for newcomers to watch [Frank's] Netflix appearances. And yet I’d argue that route might strangely be safer for Brand New Day‘s target demographic than this bloodbath. Go to Full Review

Brutal, bloody, and brilliant, The Punisher: One Last Kill is another much-needed win for the MCU and should be the benchmark for these special presentations moving forward. Go to Full Review

yoav Y @RT25412127 6h Didn't like the show, loved this ¨movie¨... more like a long episode but brings what is fun and amazing about the Punisher and not too much Drama like the show. keep it up See more R T. @RT36386852 11h What was the point? This is nothing more than a gore fest with no real story and a 45 minute steal of John Wick! Dead dog revenge, crime boss puts a bounty to kill the hero, kill-fest (but not as good), and almost no dialogue. Clearly they are hurting for good writing over at old Disney! Skip it.... accomplishes nothing! See more Racquelle B @RT32183169 12h Do not waste your life watching this. I don’t think I’ve ever left a movie review but I don’t want anybody else to waste their time watching this. I love the Punisher, his storyline, the actor… but this is just 48 minutes of violence with no new story and no point. ITS 48 minutes it’s not even a movie! Whoever did this robbed me of 48 minutes of my life and my movie night. See more Declan D. @filmbuffkid 12h Oh my… that blew away my expectations I had for this movie, the movie is pretty well done, but there are a few issues with it, let me talk about the issues first, the cgi during that one scene… That hurt my eyes while looking at it, and the runtime, it’s only an hour but adding like 25 more minutes would improve the film and Frank’s character arc even more, he already avenged his family, but if they put more of the characters emotions on deciding if he should protect the innocent and be a hero, or he should hang up his vest for good. But now onto the best parts, John bernthal’s performance is astounding, showing true emotion when it comes to Frank castle/ The punisher, and the cinematography and film editing are so beautiful to look at, and the plot twist is pretty surprising and satisfying. Just to let you know this is one out of three films from Marvel this year. We still have Spider-Man and avengers doomsday part one left. Marvel is back and it’s gonna be peak. 8/10 See more Emma F. @RT65483755 1d So many plot holes. Garbage CGI/AI. Waste of time and money. See more Tim H @RT19399708 1d Lots of killing but what was the point of this? See more Read all reviews
