Gabmoreno2 @Gabmoreno2 Jan 24 Extremely underrated while its not the most serious take of the 3 Musketeers characters, what it does do well is implement new elements and progresses the story forward into the realm, of sci-fi/fantasy. Yes the characters can be improved in the drama aspect but as for entertainment value you get a hilarious yet engaging performance of Orlando Bloom and shows more of the corruption of the Church that would later affect Frances economy during the French Revolution. The costume design is also really impressive capturing the stylish outfits of the area. Ever since then the story adapted into movies time & time again. It's very stylish. Well written dialogue. It has enough action & drama even for the most finicky movie watcher. Sometimes the story does get a little confusing. It does have a stellar cast Orlando Bloom, Luke Evans, Matthew Macfadyen, Milla Jovovich, Milla as Milady De Winter kicks Royal butt. Milla could definitely be put into the action hero category. As usual the villains have the best lines. Out of all the movies made about The Three Musketeers It's not bad for a action, comedy, adventure movie. It's not one of the best. But it's not one of the worst either. This version is watchable. Not even as good as Gene Kelly's. Flying warships hanging from balloons? Balloons had not even been invented in Europe yet. Bad acting, bad plot, bad script, bad hair.
