The animation is less surefooted at the start in a prologue set in Hong Kong, but it quickly improves when the action shifts to San Francisco, gloriously re-created. The vocal cast is mighty impressive and includes the ever-busy Michelle Yeoh.

The Tiger's Apprentice is so obviously assembled from ideas from other, better films that even the occasional visual flourish isn't enough to elevate the finished product into anything you'll ever be particularly happy you saw.

It is not bad, but sadly it is not amazing either... It's like Kung Fu Panda but worse, very similar to Miraculous Ladybug, poorly written, a few emotional scenes and a lot of characters completely forgotten (and forgetable). I won't lie, it made cry beside all of it, which is not such a parametre because I cry with everything. However, it's enjoyable, not worth a rewatch, probably never. It feels very fast, short; like they had so many things to tell and explore and you end up with obvious things poorly elaborated. I wish it were better though, because even if it is a copycat of almost everything, it could have been so much better than this. Beautiful beautiful animation and fight scenes tho. :)

A pleasant enough animation, it basically borrows story points from other similar and in some instances better films but adds chinese mythology into the mix. Films it borrows from include Kung Fu Panda and Rise of the Guardians. Still was entertaining enough. A solid if unremarkable film

The Tiger's Apprentice (2024) is a very confusing story that starts very slowly and then accelerates very quickly. The visuals are very beautiful, the characters are great but they weren't used correctly.
