Based on a true story, TOW follows Amanda Ogle (Rose Byrne), a woman living in her aging Toyota Camry on the streets of Seattle. When her car -- her only lifeline -- is stolen and impounded, Amanda is thrust into a relentless legal battle against an indifferent system. What begins as a fight to reclaim her car evolves into a deeply human story of resilience, dignity, and the power of one woman's voice in the face of systemic failure.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

A humble story of persistence given outsized punch by Rose Byrne's spiky performance, Tow parks itself comfortably in the company of genuinely life-affirming dramas.

“Tow” is a minor indie that doesn’t always make the right moves, but Byrne seizes her character and turns the question of whether you like her or not into the film’s dramatic motor. Go to Full Review

Even when her film dips into melodrama, Rose Byrne grounds her portrayal of an unhoused woman living in her car a humanity that feels detailed and true. Go to Full Review

Mike 19h This was exactly what I needed. A funny, interesting indie style film with a good cast. The story is so relatable about how one little thing can basically put you in financial ruin and that when that happens you can fight it and sometimes win and STILL have to keep fighting. That said, it’s not a gloomy film at all. There’s so much humor and heart to balance out the gravity of the haves/have nots situation. A welcome break from the big studio horror films that are clogging up screens right now. See more Mr Hollywood 1d We’ve all been there before. Car gets towed. We get mad and angry. The system isn’t right. Worth a watch. See more Lorrie Tonelli 1d The movie was horrible See more jesse v 1d We lost Legally Blonde 3 for this 44 min episode of a tv show that got stretched to a movie filled with avant garde cinematography shots. A lot of talking but not much action for any character except for the lawyer and daughter. See more Chris P 2d Great story. Great actress.. She may be nominated for this role.
