Inept, cheesy muscleman epic that thinks mixing Conan with Star Wars is a stunningly original idea. Go to Full Review

Oh my lord. Can we say Derivative Crapfest? Horrible acting, and a script that takes sci-fi/fantasy elements and tosses them in a blender" Go to Full Review

DanTheMan 2 @DanTheMan2150AD May 18 Assembled from a stack of pulp paperbacks, heavy metal album covers and half-remembered sci-fi classics, Yor: The Hunter from the Future has all the makings of a truly incredible adventure but settles into a wonderful midground of hilariously tacky and downright ridiculous. It's not a badly shot film by any means, even if the rather disingenuous editing doesn't help its case; everything just kind of moves along without any pace. Reb Brown's well-cast as a blunt tool, impossibly blond and permanently shirtless Yor and the incredibly catchy synth-rock theme song lodges itself in your brain almost immediately. While Yor: The Hunter from the Future has major problems, obviously. Most of them are hilarious; some are more annoying. This is certainly not a good film, but it is absurdly entertaining. Often described as the crown jewel of Italy's Barbarian craze, it's also the film that killed their enthusiasm for it; just like that, they were done. This is Yor's world after all. See more Jake M @RT32401671 10/24/2024 So bad, it’s good, then bad again, but ultimately ending on good. If you’re watching this, just based on the title alone, you need to limit expectations and set the bar low. Dont ever take it seriously (easy to do) and you might actually enjoy this schlockfest. I watched the Rifftrax version, but even without this, I’d have filled in w plenty of my own commentary. Everything about it is cheesy, I believe intentionally. It’s like a worse version of Beastmaster, meets BSG, and probably some other crap. Great background movie for gatherings. I enjoy this a little more every time I watch it.
